As Founder and CEO, Deja Hicks is present at every major event — greeting families, thanking volunteers, and reminding every room why this work matters. Her personal story as a cancer survivor fuels the passion that drives TANCCF forward.
Store managers and associates set up a donation table at the Phoenix Supercenter, raising over $3,200 in a single weekend for families facing childhood cancer co-pays and medical bills.
Over 150 walkers — including Walmart team members, families, and community supporters — marched in solidarity with children fighting cancer. Deja led the opening ceremony and shared the foundation's mission.
A team of 20 Walmart managers and associates spent the day assembling care packages, organizing supply donations, and helping TANCCF staff prepare family assistance deliveries across the Phoenix metro.
